Spring may still be a few weeks away, but the bees in Ft. Worth are already hard at work! Yesterday, our Owner and expert Beekeeper Harold Wright responded to our first swarm call of the season at a charming home on Ranch View Rd in the Overton Park neighborhood. The discovery? A bustling cluster of honeybees, numbering in the hundreds, had taken up temporary residence near a decorative fireplace by the pool—an unexpected but picturesque spot for these early risers. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for bee activity. With temperatures climbing into the low 80s and abundant sunshine, it was the kind of day that coaxes bees out of their winter clusters and into the world. Bees are highly sensitive to temperature, and yesterday’s balmy conditions provided the ideal cue for scouts to venture out in search of new nesting sites. Swarming is a natural part of their life cycle, signaling a healthy, thriving colony ready to expand. For homeowners, finding a swarm can be surprising, but it’s also a reminder of nature’s incredible resilience and timing. Swarms like this one are typically gentle, as the bees are focused on protecting their queen and finding a permanent home. Our team safely relocated the swarm, ensuring both the bees and the residents could enjoy the beautiful day without worry. At Bee Safe Bee Removal, we’re passionate about preserving these vital pollinators while keeping our communities safe. If you spot a swarm in your neighborhood, don’t panic—give us a call! We’re here to provide eco-friendly solutions that protect both people and bees. Here’s to a busy (and buzzing) season ahead!
